Popular Nigerian Social Media Political Activist, Mr Jollof, has taken it upon himself to raise funds in support of the recent flood victims, who have been displaced in the State of Benue.
Mr Jollof had a few days ago, called on his social media followers to join him in raising funds, in order to help the affected flood victims.
However, his call for help was faced with much criticism, as some angry followers quickly attacked the Political Activist, with some calling him out to be a fraud and taking advantage of the situation to raise funds for personal use.
That did not stop the very passionate Activist who was determined to help as much of the victims of the flood as he can, as he went ahead to appeal to those who were interested genuinely in joining him to make a positive impact, to make their contributions.
Releasing a statement today on his Instagram page, he said: “From Saturday 02/09/2017 to Tuesday 05/09/2017, we have been able to raise, N722,263 for the flood victims in Benue State. Today, I will go and purchase relief materials, and I will personally take them to Benue State. To those 69 people that donated, thank you so much.”
You would recall that more than 100,000 people have fled their homes, because of major flooding in the central State of Benue, Makurdi, in Nigeria.
